Thats totally aweseome. If it wouldn't look so much like Latex it would exakt like i wish it should look in a new Animation of the Manga.

Great Work.
p.s. The one finger really looks broken ^^

Btw, you started the model with those model balls(the name of the tool scapes me right now) or you went straight to modelling?

I've first made a rough model with zspheres, then formed it, retopologized it, added high-res details ( [link] ), then made about 20 different textures for the body in photoshop, made a giant material tree ( [link] ), made hair, rigged the model (it's fully animatable now, even the mimics), rendered a t-pose (in the gallery), then started making the images from the manga (see the gallery also), more coming soon.

Also, each image uses a lot of post-processing in Nuke (like this: [link] ).

So awesome. I didnt know it was possible to make a turntable on flash. Thank you for showing this.
Her hair is perfect, you made it with the hair and fur option right. Did you think about using hair plates(dont remember how to call them, low polly plates with texture on them) to make it faster for render? Though i dont think it would have been so awesome.
Just one annoying thing that doesnt compromise the rest of the "image", her hand looks like its broken, more especifically that little finger on her right hand(the one touching the stone).

I didn't make the hair with the geometry planes, because they're view-dependent. I don't want to redo the hair completely for each image.

What about flash - it just displays the finished image sequence, that's all. Of course, it doesn't compute anything - it just changes the frame based on your mouse's position.

Yeah but i didnt know turntable could be done with flash. I always imagined the site needed special programming to make it work (like the rotation products i see on certain sales sites).

This is one good looking model. Great anatomy, textures and lighting. The folds on the clothes are looking good as well as the look of the hair. Great facial features also. But what I like the most about this model is that it was posed in a very natural but unusual manner. Most 3D character's seem to always be posed on a very subtle way, (usually, just a few ticks away from the original "T pose" used to model them), so to see a character like this, speaks volumes about your anatomical knowledge and skills as a character modeler. Congrats! this is one cool render. =D

Thank you!

I've just tried to match the original image ( [link] ) as close as possible (like all images I'm trying to do), ending up with this one ( [link] ). Then I've decided to make a turntable out of it not to lose all the cool stuff behind it.

Rendering all passes (more than 20 for each frame) has taken about a month, and a giant post-processing tree in Nuke.

For example, here's the breakdown of a previous one: [link]

Just render out a sequence of a camera rotating around your object, and then repeat this.
